Updated Welles release date + "Splinter City" preview
We will serve no graphic novel before its time
According to Lunar Distribution, the release date for Orson Welles: Warrior of the Worlds has been delayed to August 7th. It might slip again another week or so, but for now, 8/7 is the date and we’re getting close-but-just-not-there-yet. The most reliable information on the release can be found on Lunar’s page for the Welles book. If you go to that page and click on the TP (trade paperback) version, it should show you the latest info.
I’m working on a couple of exciting events in Houston for the book’s debut, one which will be on release day, the other a bit later in the year.
But that doesn’t mean I’m idling…
My frequency of newsletter updates should increase soon. I can’t wait for the Welles book to be released, but it’s not the only thing I’m working on. In fact, I have three more projects moving ahead:
Project Codename “Saturn”
I can’t say much about this one yet. I can’t even reveal the title because it’d be a spoiler. But, it’s another alternate-history/entertainment item. I’m working with an artist in Spain and he’s doing amazing work thus far. We’ve got two main characters designed, and are working through the rest of the main cast. This will be a series and we will crowdfund it on Kickstarter.Home Planet Advantage
This one is an epic sports/science-fiction story. I will be announcing a major update on this project soon after the Welles trade paperback is released.
Splinter City
This is a cyberpunk/crime comic series. Artist Jacob Dudek has just finished the first batch of pages which we will put on Kickstarter sometime in the Fall. Here’s a look at Page 2, and as you’ll see, he’s doing fantastic work:
